Sportage: was jumped off and cables placed incorrectly..replace fuses

Resolved Question:

My Sportage was jumped off and cables placed incorrectly. It starts but will not hold a charge. I have replace fuses but to no avail.

Greetings lovmykia2002,

start by testing the battery... A load test will determine if it is good or bad...next check the charging system output...with the vehicle running at idle you should see approx. 13.5 - 14.5 volts...most likely this will be your problem...it's common to damage the alternator internally when crossing the cables during jumpstarting...jeffrey590
