1991 Coupe: Ville with the 4.9 engine..overheating..normal operation

Customer Question

I have a 1991 Coupe de Ville with the 4.9 engine. The computer went into CAMEL mode during an overheating incident. How do I reset the computer for normal operation?

Hi and good morning. The computer can be re-set by disconnecting the negative cable from the battery, and allowing the system to power down. Leave the battery disconnected for 10 minutes, and re-connect. This will re-set your computer.

I disconnected the negative cable for over 10 minutes, but it did not correct the problem of running on 4 cylin ders. What next?

I am sorry the re-set didn't do the trick. i would have to suggest that the computer be replaced.
