I have a Lincoln Ls 2000 ,I need to know how to remove the

I have a Lincoln Ls 2000 ,I need to know how to remove the part of the dash board in the top middle console that the air blowes out, the data reset-fuel- ext, ( its a bank of about 4 to 5 bottons) have come loose.I dont want to break something.I know there are some type of snaps there to hold everything in place

REMOVAL

  1. Adjust the steering column to the full tilt down and full extended position.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.

ok wrong answer>. I am talking about the center dash panel not the sterring collum..this problem is not there .there is a center console where the ac / raido/ controles are located..(not between the seats or under the streeing )it the top of this part of the dash,the infomation bottons are there right under the 2 ajustable air out going blowing into the cabin.it looks like to me this little black case can be removed.Help! I dont know how to remove this plastic pannel cover without breaking the clips or pins that hold it in place..if you need I can send a pic
