2004 Saturn L300: near the front right tire..plastic tie

Customer Question

My daughter drove my 2004 Saturn L300 over a bumpy field and now something is hanging underneath. It is near the front right tire and it appears to be held on by a plastic tie. What do I need to do about this?

Hi, sounds like your splash gaurd (belly pan) has come loose. Check to see if it is cracked, if so then replace it. This protecs your engine from thermal shock , by keeping water and snow from splashing up there. If your belly pan is not damaged you can go to the auto parts store and get some plastic inserts to reattach the belly pan to the under side of the car. Hope this helps thanks -Ben
