2008 Outback: left front windshield wiper makes..functions normally

Customer Question

Have a 2008 Outback, LL Bean Edition. This Am the left front windshield wiper makes only about a quarter of its normal pass, and is asynchronous with the right wiper, which functions normally. The left wiper was functioning normally yesterday PM, and I removed all ice and snow from both sides this AM. Wipers were not turned on until the windshield had been completely cleared. Many thanks for your diagnosis.
