  1. Loosen the fixing bolt of the sensor.
  2. Disconnect camshaft position sensor (PHASE) harness connector.
  3. Remove the sensor.
  4. Visually check the sensor for chipping.

where is the sensor located? how much work is involved,

Customercamshaft sensor is mounted on the top of the motor to the right of the throttle body. The time to replace the sensor is 0.4 hours. there is one wiring plug & a mounting bolt to remove.Dave39755.613147419

There are two cam sensors one on the left side of the motor and one on the right side.

which sensor is considered in bank one, front or back?

Bank 1 is the sensor to the right of the throttle body.
