2001 suzuki: I can start it, but wont idle, its been in storage

Customer Question

I have a 2001 suzuki marauder, I can start it, but won't idle, it's been in storage for 5 years

Optional Information:
2001 Suzuki marauder GS

Already Tried:
drained tank, new fuel, added sea foam fuel treatment, drained carburators. It will start, but will not idle, as soon as you let up on throttle it dies. It rides smooth and accelerates with no hesitation, backfires slightly when cold and fully choked.

Hello,

Below I have included a troubleshooting guide for a car that will start but not idle. Its in order from most common to least common. Sorry the pics don't come through on this website. Don't pay attention to#'s(4,7,8,12) as you car doesn't have these parts. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Fuhrmeister
