Really nothing extra special about it, except that you will want to remove the inside handle and disconnect the cables before you completely remove the panel. See if this info from the service manual is any help. ThanksFront Side Door Inside Handle Replacement

Bob! Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX I'm wrapping my hummer and i need to remove the honkin side view mirrors. If I can get the door panels off, should'nt i be able to remove the mirror? Do i need special tools. i'm a girl so its ok to talk to me like i'm stupid! Can you tell me how to remove the door handles too?
Expert:  Bob replied 5 years ago.
Once you have the rim panel off, the mirror should be just bolted on. Think 3 small 10 mm bolts. No special tools needed. The retainers are just plastic that push into the door like a large nail. Yes the panel will come all the way off. Do you want to remove the inside or outside door handles? Thanks

Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX to remove the OUTSIDE passenger side and driver side door handles... can u help me?
Expert:  Bob replied 5 years ago.

Well, by golly I can sure try. Looks like a pretty fair sized job and you have to remove the window to get to and remove the handle. The instructions below are not the best, XXXXX XXXXX are all that GM offers, so hang in there and we will see if these will work out for you. You will already have the door trim off, so I will skip that part and start you with the window. Just take your time and be careful and you should be okay.
