First you need to remove the top part of the console. Put the shifter into the neutral position. Then pull up the parking brake and unbuttoning the leather cover. Then the top half of the console will pry up.

Then disconnect the sport mode and traction switch and the cigar lighter.

 

Remove the floor console glove compartment lid

 

Detach the floor console retaining bracket.

1) Remove the lower floor console retaining bracket retaining screws.
2) Detach the lower floor console retaining bracket.

Release the floor console rear air register trim panel retaining tangs.

Make sure the floor console rear air register distribution duct retaining tangs are not damaged when the floor console rear air register trim panel is removed. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
Remove the floor console rear air register trim panel.

1) Release the floor console rear retaining tang.
2) Reposition the floor console side trim panels.
3) Remove the floor console rear air register trim panel.

Here is the procedure to replace the shifter assembly.

 

Removal

1 . Move the selector lever to position "N".

2 . Remove the centre console.

3 . Remove the air duct.

 

Detach the ignition switch interlock cable.

1) Disconnect the ignition switch interlock cable.
2) Detach the ignition switch interlock cable.

Detach the selector cable.
