Hello eric mars, and welcome to JustAnswer.com!

The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located at the bottom of the front of the engine, right next to the Crankshaft pulley. You simply unbolt the old one and install the new one, so the paper pad at the end of the sensor touches up against the tone ring on the pulley assembly. Once started, the paper will get peeled off by the ring, and this will provide the perfect air gap between the sensor and the ring.

Good luck!
