Ask a Car Mechanic and Get Answers to Your Car Questions ASAP
Hello and thank you for choosing Just Answer.
The check engine light indicates that the comuter has stored a faulty code. You need to find out the code by running an OBDII scan, take the car to autozone and they will perform the scan at no charge. This will tell you exactly what needs to be repaired/replaced. While you are there you may want to have an alternator and battery test done as well.
