1994 isuzu: liter..towing..MAP sensor, egr solenoid, thermal valve

Customer Question

1994 isuzu, 2.6 liter. Excessive valve noise (ping) in hot temparature or under load (towing) Temp gauge is cool. Have replaced MAP sensor, EGR solenoid, thermal valve and checked timing. Improves with premium gas, but still present.

There is a known "treatment" for noise valves. The hydraulic valve lifter needs to be primed.

You say "here is the TSB provded by GM..." What is a TSB and where is it? Since I asked, I replaced the PCV valve and it helped alot. It is not lifter noise. It only happens when the outside temp is extremely hot or I'm towing ..
