Does your Stereo have the Outboard AMP?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
am fm with cd no amp that i know of
Expert:  Lurch replied 8 years ago.

There are a couple of units that require a Outboard AMP.
The AMP is located on the drivers side behind the rear compartment carpeting.

If the unit you are using requires the AMP, you will get very low or no sound.
Otherwise, if you have verified the speakers work from the Plug at the radio & it is the amplified (internally) radio, then the radio is bad.

Also, Aftermarket can be installled using the correct Class 2 DATA Type Adapter

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
i don't understand where you are saying that this is at
Expert:  Lurch replied 8 years ago.
Trunk area on side wall behind carpeting or under rear deck, depending on Model Cavalier
If your Cavalier had / has one.
Otherwise the Unit you installed may require an AMP
