1997 Oldsmobile: V6..Car stalls..electric windows

Customer Question

1997 Oldsmobile delta 88LS V6 3.8 engine. Car starts, when trying to excellerate car stalls and electric windows will not operate as this time. After an hour or so car will start normally and windows work. This happens about once a month.

Have already tried: tune up, new battery and fuel filters.

Hello and welcome to Just, Super mechanic here. About your vehicle.

The only thing that your power windows share with anything that will shut the engine off is, the ground for the windows is the same ground for the fuel pump, (g202)

It is behind the left side kick panel. You will want to take the panel off and see if the bolt is loose that holds the ground wires to the door hinge pillar.

Of course, you will want to isolate the concern as to which you are not getting when it will not start, spark or fuel. See how the ground looks and let me know, thanks
