2003 infiniti FX35: the camshaft and the crankshaft the same thing

Resolved Question:

Is the camshaft and the crankshaft the same thing and where is it located on a 2003 infiniti FX35?

The camshaft and the crankshaft are two different items. In your case there should actually be 4 camshafts as shown in the illustration marked No. 4 and 5. They are located in the cylinder heads on the top of each side of the engine under the valve covers.

The crankshaft is located in the lower engine block covered by the oil pan as show in this illustration marked as No. 12.
