2008 toyota camry: the midship bearing bracket need to be removed

This answer was rated:

2008 toyota camry 3.5 auto. want to remove right outer halfshaft. does the midship bearing bracket need to be removed or is halfshaft a two piece part?
Hi 194harley- The axle can be removed without removing that bracket. There is a snapring on the outter part of the bracket/bearing retainer assembly that can be removed with needle nose pliers. Once removed, the outter shaft can be removed from the vehicle. Here is a picture from a 2007 camry, but should be the same as your car.graphic
