Intermittent problem: all dash warning lights go out when I try to start the engine. After several minutes wait, the engine starts OK.

Hi there! When this happens, does it turn over at all or just sounds dead?Like maybe a click?

Relist: I still need help.
This is an intermittent problem: when I try to start the engine, all warning lights on the dash go out, the gauges return to zero and the radio goes "off" for about 30 seconds. There is no click nor does the starter try to engage.
I have been told that it is caused by a faulty "anti-theft" module.
