Does your truck have the Vortec engine, if you don't know this could I get the 8th digit of your VIN number please so I can get you the correct information?

i have this info what i need is a diagram of the ditributor cap wiring placement.   a nice top view of the distributor

Are you referring to the secondary spark plug wires?

Clyinder #1 is connected at the solid white dot on the diagram, then starting from there clockwise rotation Cyl#8 then 4-3-6-5-7-2.

Cylinder #1 tower is closest to the tower on the ignition coil.

Secondary wires are the wires that go from the distibutor cap tower to each spark plug.

Yes the distributor and engine cylinders are just as they are in the vehicle, Cyl # XXXXX is adjacent to the igntion coil tower.
