Hi there! The quicket fix would be to have the light scanned and then do the repair yourself. There are so many things that can make the light come on that just guessing is always more expensive then using the light to diagnose and then repair. Some parts stores have the capability to scan the abs system, and they all do it for free in hopes that you will purchase the parts there.Hope this helps! Thanks

Reply to carguy1's Post: No parts stores can check or scan the ABS light, only the check engine light. They said only the dealer can do that. That is what I was trying to avoid by contacting you. No help there

OK. Well then, you have already done the quick fix.Removing the fuse only eliminates the abs.It does not affect the mechanical braking at all.I have seen where dirty wheel speed sensors can cause this type of problem. You do not have to take it to the dealer. If you have a local shop that has a scan tool, not just a code reader, they will be able to help as well.
