How do I lubricate a universal joint in the steering shaft ...

Resolved Question:

How do I lubricate a universal joint in the steering shaft of a 2003 kia sedona? What do I use as a lubricant?

There really is no good way to lube these universal joints, I have sprayed penetrating oil on them and it helps sometimes. If it is really binding bad or really rusty you may need to replace that part of the steering shaft.

How do I access this joint and what brand of penetrating oil do you recommend?
Expert:  Daryl replied 8 years ago.
wd-40 is good, but they all are pretty good so it does not really matter. The access point is under the dash, you may need to remove a plastic cover and there will likely be a rubber boot you may need to push down so that you can spray it.
