2003 Escalade: brake cruise control..CHecked fuses

This answer was rated:

My brake lights don''t work and neither does my cruise control in my 2003 Escalade. CHecked fuses (VEH STOP, CRUISE, ETC/ECM) and lights and all are good. What could my problem be? Is there another fuse or something?
Have you looked at the brakelight switch for power in and out when depressing the brake pedal? There should be constant power on the orange wire and power out on the white wire when braking. If power in but not out replace the brake switch and retest. If this is the case it will disable the cruise also because there is no brake input to the computer so it disables the cruise as a default.

Reply to Dan's Post: how do I replace the brake switch? Where is it located? Is it easy to access? I hardly know anything about cars.
