99 jeep cherokee laredo: replaced rear disc pads..4x4

This answer was rated:

What tools are needed to replaced rear disc pads on a 99 jeep cherokee laredo 4x4

A flat blade screwdriver.

Metric allen wrenches (I'm not positive, but I think you'll need a 7 or 8mm)

Remove your master cylinder cap.

Jack the vehicle and take the wheel off.

Using the flat screwdriver, insert into the opening of the top of the caliper and pry the caliper over to bottom out the piston.

Then use the screwdriver to remove the wire clip.

Now remove the slider pins with the allen wrench.

Hope this helps, good luck!

(I thought I'd add that most vehicle manufacturers do not recommend using a screwdriver in this fashion to bottom the caliper piston, but this is in fact the prescribed method from Jeep)
