HAVE A CADILLAC SRX JUST STARTED TO ACR UP LAST NIGHT HAS 60,000 MILES ON IT WILL GO AS LONG AS YOU DONNOT HAve to come to a STOP WHEN YOU STOP YOU HAVE TO TURN THE IGNITION OFF TO AND RESTART IT TO GET IT TO GO again THIS JUST STARTED LAST NIGHT

So the engine runs, but the car won't move until you restart the engine?

that is correct engine runs fine but if you come to a complete stop it will not move again no matter how much you rev it forward or backwards.You have to cut it off then restart in order to move again!!!!

That trans is electronically controlled and apparently there is a solenoid sticking in there. Every time you start the car the computer recycles all the solenoids so that must free it up and allow the car to move again. It will need to be checked by a dealer or a trans shop soon. I suspect it will stick for good soon and the reset won't fix it.
