Saturn VUE: fan has started blowing high

Customer Question

My wife has a Saturn VUE 2004. The fan has started blowing high with out the settings be there. The only way to make it stop was to pull the fuse. Has this happened to anyone else and what are the repairs needed.

Does the fan blow in the high speed on ALL switch settings?

Recent repairs?

Which fuse did you remove?

When you put it back in does it immeadiately start the fan again?

Do you have a meter for checking voltages?

Reply to Mazda Ed's Post: 1st question. Yes it does blow high on all settings.

2nd question The most recent repairs where struts and brakes in June

3rd I removed the 40 AMP fuse that is located under the hood in the fuse box that is located on the drivers side. When the fuse is put back in the fan will start to blow again

4th No I do now

Are you absolutely certain it is blowing at the very highest setting and not one of the lower settings. It will make a difference how we diagnose this.

If you are certain, then install the fuse and remove the HVAC BLO relay in the instrument panel fuse block.
