2004 saturn ion: itermitant proplem..already replaced the starter

Customer Question

I have a 2004 saturn ion with an itermitant proplem starting. I have already replaced the starter and still have the problem. It will go for weeks without a failer and it also seems to fix itself. checked all the conections from the battery to the starter. The wiring diagram shows 2 different computer modual in the curcuit I am starting thay might have something to do with it?
When you turn the key and it doesnt start a diagnostic of service engine comes up.

Have you had the codes read for the Service Engine light? If not, they can be checked for free at many of your local parts stores. Don't buy any parts yet just get the codes.

Do you have a meter for checking voltages?

When it doesn't start does it still crank (starter make noise)?
