durango: 04..very big snow storm I here a clunking noise

I have an 04 durango yesterday all was fine.this morning while driving to work in a very big snow storm I here a clunking noise from front feft when going over bumps

Sorry for the delay...sounds like you may have a defective shock on the the left front, the cold ambient temperature may have affected it as well. Check to see if there is presence of oil around the shock cylinder, that may further condemn it. Also, it may be the sock mounting, below is an illustration of the front end, the shock is number 1.
