I have a 2001 S60 w. 100k miles. at times it wil fail to start- it will crank but not start. Engine system service message appears. If I wait a while it will start. Mechanic finds nothing.
Optional Information: 2001 Volvo s60 2.4Already Tried: Mechanic has checked 5 times finds nothing
Ok replace the crank sensor and this problem will finally be fixed very common on these cars

Its the sensor that monitors the timing on the crank shaft and tell the computer if its in time around 150 plus labor to replace
Can the sensor be tested to see if it is cause?
Yes it can needs to be monitored with a scanner to see if its operating properly
