Thats exactly what ot does.The force you apply to the brake pedal is changed to hydraulic force in the master cylinder and the fluid travels through the lines to the wheel cylinders and calipers where hydralic pressure pushes on the pistons in the cylider to apply pressure to the shoes or pads.When that occurs the hydralic pressure is converted back to mechanical force just like when the brake pedal was applied at the beginning of the brake apply cycle.A brake booster will magnify the force you apply to the brake pedal reducing opreator fatigue.diablo66638772.7718646644
