How are you trying to access the code?
Are you using a scan too are something manually?
An OBDII code scanner won't work on that car. It's not OBDII compliant. There are a couple of self tests it can run with the right scanner also. You can retreive the memory only codes this way.
There has to be codes if the check engine light came on.
o extract DTCs from the computer for diagnostic purposes, the Self Test connector is used.
