A minor accident, if an impact to one of the front wheels was involved, could bend or damage a steering component such as a tie rod end.
If you are experiencing any unusual symptoms since the accident, such as vibrations, looseness in teh steering, or a steering wheel that is now off center and was not before, then you likely ahve some sort of damage to a component(s).
I would suggest taking teh vehicle in to have a professional take a look at it as soon as possible. If you are experiencing any of tehse symptoms, your car at the very least is probably out of alignment, which can result in abnormal tire wear and unpredictible handling in some conditions; at teh worst, you could have a damaged component that is ready to fail and cause a loss of steering control.
Since it could be a potential safety issue, having it checked soon is advisable. Usually, having teh vehicle checked over does not cost much at all, and most shops would at that point be glad to proide you with a free written estimate for any needed repairs.
I hope this is helpful; if so, clicking my accept button would be most appreciated! Thanks!
