There could be many causes for this condition, but the most likely would be a fuel pressure loss when sitting. The fuel system on this vehicle is under pressure; when teh car is shut off it should hold pressure untill the next restart so that fuel is avaialble to spray in when the injectors open. If the pressure bleeds off due to a leak somewhere, it will make the vehicle hard to start; especially if the leak is past a faulty injector causing a cylinder(s) to fill with liquid fuel.
Other possible causes of a pressure loss would be backwartds past a faulty/ worn fuel pump into the tank, and through a defective fuel pressure regulator down the return line into the tank.
to depermine if this is your problem, you need to connect a fuel pressure gauge to the system, and see if the pressure bleeds down after the engine is shut off.
I hope this is helpful; if so, clicking my accept button would be most appreciated! Thanks!
