Here is the removal procedure as printed in the manual:
As you can see, you need to take a release tool and reach into the holes or slots in your model radio to push back the metal retiner fingers to allow the radio to be pulled from the dash.
If you have the type of radio as in teh top illustration, with slots for a flat release tool, you may be able to make a quick substitute tool out of some hard springy metal strip, such as the strip og stainless steel that is sometimes found on wiper blades running alongside the rubber.
I f you have the kind as in teh second illustration, a Ford radio removal tool may wortk (available at any auto parts store) or perhaps 4 small diameter finishing nails if the correct release tool is not available.
