Forget vapor lock. That's a thing of the past. The fuel pump is a possibility. You need to test for the basics.
Once you know which of these is dropping out, you will know which system is having a problem.
I showed you the tool to do it with. The noid light is a miniature bulb that plugs into any of the injecter plugs. Simply unplug one injecter, plug in the noid light to it and crank the engine. If the bulb flashes, the inject is receiving everything it needs to fire.
If you feel comfortable enough doing this and can get a noid light (approx $6-8), go ahead, otherwise let the shop do it.
