Your car has a sophisticated electronic climate control system, that directs airflow through either the heater core (to warm it) or the evaporator core(to cool it) before it exits the dash vents. The system also controls compressor operation, blower, and condenser cooling fan operation.
Since the air isnt hot, it sounds like it is being directed through teh AC portion of the system, but the compressor may not be coming on to run the refrigeration portion of the system.
There can be various reasons for this to happen, such as a sensor failure or a blown fuse, but teh most common fproblem is an aAC system that has a low refrigerant level due to slight leakage. Most systems have some provision of shutting the compressor down to prevent damage from running with insufficient refrigerant, as the refrigerant also circulates oil to lubricate the moving parts.
I would suggest watching teh compressor clutch while the AC is turned on; if it does not come on, or cycles on and off rapidly, or only engages for a couple seconds and then disengages, it is likely a refrigerant pressure problem.
I would suggest taking the car in to a shop that performs AC service for diagnosis and charging if needed. Using the cans of refrigerant that you can buy at Wal mart and places like that is not a very good idea, because exact charge level is absolutely critical to correct operation, we are talking within about an ounce here, and there is just no way to measure from a 14 ounce can. Too much can damage the system, and too little won't allow it to cool.
Also, never install any kind of "sealer" in the system; from that point forward it is for all practical purposes unrepairable. It cannot be evacusted for repair without damaging a recycling machine, and the sealer is known to solidify upon contact with air making a huge mess of teh system itf it is opened for component replacement or just leaks empty in the future.
