I have a 1993 cavalier - sitting for a year - car starts and drives for about 3 miles and than stalls. Car will restart, but does not have power when put in gear - it stalls. I just replaced plugs and fuel filter. Same thing happens. Does gas go bad ?
Does it feel like you are starting off in high gear instead of low?
Of course Gas gets stale. You are right on the boarder line of where I would say change it. But I don't think gas is your problem .
Post back about taking off after a restart that is key, I think I can Help you.

No, today I started the car and drove about 15 to 20 miles an hour for about 2 miles, than the car stalled. When trying to restart I needed to pump the gas alot and it just cranked finally after pumping and keeping the starter going it started very rough, needed to keep pumping to keep it going, when I put it into gear it just stalls.
