1973 corvette. with the key in the start position the transmition will not go past park or reverse. Also the car will not start. battery is fine. My girlfriends dad was messing with the wires under the steering wheel and a couple of wire are loose. 2 purple wires on a conector, an orange and yellow one on a conector but I don't see a conection to hook them up. any Idea to help or a web site to a book or info. Also 2 red wires on a conector. Is it possible to send a picture of the wiring? Thanks38480.591912419
These are all the diagrams that are avalible the purple wires are the saftey nuetrul switch wires they go to the safteynuetral switch the yellow wire goes to the yellow wire goes from the starter the orange one may be the reverse lights. (see upper left diagram) The orange wire may be a fusable link too
