Customer Question

This concerns the kenwood tk-7160. They have fixed voice scramble codes. The tk-2312 has entirely variable code settings. What are the frequencies that the TK-7160 uses for their codes.

Hi Mike,

Welcome to JustAnswer!

The TK-7160 uses the 136~174 MHz range.

no this is not what frequency, I know the radio is a vhf radio. The scramble codes listed are 1-16. These codes pertain to frequencies that the radios audio's is mixed with to produce a scramble sound. For example the kemwood th 2312 uses as 1 a frequencty of 3000 hz, 7 is 2700 hertz, but the tk-7160 when using the same codes, is not readable. what I am looking for are the frequencies that the codes pertain too.
