Customer Question

I have the Viper 5706V car alarm. Last night the key fob light came on and says PAIR at the bottom. None of the keys are operational and the light will not go off. Not sure what to do.

Hi this usually means the battery in the fob needs to be replaced is all;-)

You can get one at most auto parts and hardware stores.

A lot of auto parts stores have tester for that as well.

I will stick with you until this is complete.

Please rate kindly thus far, it won't cost you anything to rate my service to you kindly,

The key fob is rechargeable. It is only 4 months old and the charge has full life.

Hi, its always possible it had a part failure but its much more likely there is a bad battery to blame. Batteries can fail at any time and even new ones are susceptible to this, I will bet the battery replacement fixes this as its about 80% likely the cause, I have been a technician for over 30 years lol;-) Also I work extensively with batteries and car alarm systems.

Have a great day!
