Hello! I have done a double-din install on this exact vehicle, you will not have any problems installing a aftermarket stereo receiver. I have also looked up the kits for your vehicle, you will need the following parts in order to get a double-din navigation receiver into your vehicle. Dash kit: http://www.metraonline.com/part/95-8903BWiring harness: http://www.metraonline.com/part/70-1761Steering wheel control (optional): http://www.metraonline.com/part/ASWC-1 You will be able to install any unit into this vehicle as long as you purchase the products above. Remember to leave positive feedback as that is how I receive credit for my time.

Thanks, ***** ***** confirm that the metraonline part 70-1761 is correct the mfg. says it is for Toyota. Is this correct for a Subaru Outback?

Hello again, Correct, the part number for the harness that I listed is the correct part number. Both vehicles use the same type of plug. Remember to leave positive feedback as that is how I receive credit for my time :)
