If your getting this error messege on more that 1 docking station then you have a problem with unit itself. It is not connecting to the antenna. Doest the unit work on its own when not docked??
No. Needs to be docked in order to recieve power.
Ok, just making sure. Have seen them with external portable packs also.
It sounds like your unit has been damaged. If you change docks allot then it may be loose on the inside.
How old is the unit??
About three years old. I do switch docks alot. Can it be repaired?

In some cases though its cheaper to replace the unit all together.
