my garmin edge 605 turns off when i try turning it on.

i bought the gps three weeks ago. i have tried to do an update, hard reset, and plug it into the power and computer sources.
HiIt looks like the power charger has issues or the unit has hardware issues. Because this should not happen in a new unit.You should either return the unit to the store where you bought it from. Else send it to garmin to get a replacement.In that case dont worry, your unit has 1 year warranty. Garmin will give you free repair / replacement.
Call or e-mail a Garmin Technical Support Specialist to describe the problem and request a return material authorization (RMA) number. You will need to provide the unit's serial number (if applicable), your return shipping address and a daytime phone number.

Once you have received the RMA number, you also will be told what dock number to include in the shipping address. Ship the unit (insured) to the following address and include the assigned dock number:
