This will depend on the Pioneer Model Number.

If you have that info, please post it.

What happened is that my brother put a CD in without the faceplate on so I had to pull the CD out and now if you put a CD in it stays in and doesn't play and shows error 10. Please help.

Thank you for the added info.................

Please supply the Model number of the Pioneer unit.

Should be on the front.

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

It's a Pioneer super tuner deh-p600. When I put the CD in, it does not come out or play and shows error 10.

Thanks for helping dude!!

Thank you for the added info.............

Pioneers explanation:

Error 10 = Electrical or Mechanical Error
Turn the ignition
Switch OFF and back ON,

or switch to a different source,

then back to the CD player.

Typically this will cure the problem, but if not you can try a reset

Remove Unit & Unplug for approximately 5 minutes
Reconnect & press Eject

Otherwise the CD is jammed & removal & repair will be needed.

If this is a CDR, CDRW, MP3 CD, the label or thickness could be causing the jam.

I did all that. I pulled the whole deck out of the car and reinstalled it and pushed the eject button. You could hear noise like it is ejecting but nothing. Do you think I need another deck?

Expert:  Don 'Mo Lurch' replied 6 years ago.

If the above did not do the trick, then the CD mechanism is jammed & yes another unit would probably be cheaper. As Wal-Mart sells pioneer for less than $110.00, which repair would be at least that.
