I have never enabled the lock. It came up by itself, now I cant use the tomtom.

What is the model number of your tomtom ?

By safety lock, do you mean that when you are driving the car you cannot use the tomtom at that time. But you can use it otherwise ?

Or are you talking about the 4 digit Lock code ?

The model is tomtom one #N14644

Initially it will navigate to an address but when I reach my destination and try to navigate to a different address or clear route, it show "safety lock enabled" across the bottom of the screen and wont allow me to access certain options(they are grey and not able to choose).

Please do this and let me know.

Unplug all cords from your tomtom and turn it on.

Tap on screen to reach main menu.
Goto Change Preference > Show all menu options > Safety Preference >

Here Disable the "Safety Lock" (remove the tick next to it)

Then tap OK (or what ever option is there) to save setting and go back to main menu.
