My 2008 Income was zero-nil. I filled my tax return for this year late, in Jan 2010. I have not received the GIS and GAINS that I was entittled to as of today May 24 2012. I notified by letter the tax dept. in Jan 2012 but I received no answer till now. My quwstion is: Am I still entittled to these supplements ? can they be paid to me retroactively? or I lost my claim due to my late tax return ? What is my next course of action?

I think it is an easy question that can be answered by an accountant or a lawyer. I could get an answer fro the tax dept for free but i don't want to disturb things yet....
