Ask a Canada Law Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
Hello! My name is***** you for your question. I'm reviewing it now, and will post back again shortly.
Are you asking about your spouse sponsoring you for permanent residency status in Canada?
Yes that will work.
Once you are married your spouse can sponsor you.The way this works is that the sponsorship application and the permanent resident application go in together. Once your spouse is approved as a sponsor youe application will be processed. You will need to undergo medical, background and criminal checks. Here is the link to the webpage that has all the information and forms:http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp
Does that answer your question? Please feel free to post back with any follow-up questions you may have. If you don't have any then I hope I have earned a 5 star rating but if you don't feel that I have please don't hesitate to reply back and let me know what more I can do to assist you. Finally, please know that even after you rate me I will be here for you and you can ask follow-up questions if you think of them later on at no further charge of course.
No you don't.
So long as you have legal status in the US and you do, you can be sponsored from the US.
Is there anything more I can help you with at this point in time?
