A client of mine has a dormant bank account in Canada These

Customer Question

A client of mine has a dormant bank account in Canada These were his savings during his young age working there. He is now retired and when he asked the bank to transfer his savings to another bank in Malta the bank claimed that the account cannot be traced. What can he do?
JA: Because employment law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: My apologies. I will get to him and report back. Thank you.
JA: Have you talked to a lawyer yet?
Customer: No not yet.
JA: Anything else you think the lawyer should know?
Customer: The only proof he has about the savings is the old bank booklet.
