Labour Law Question: Can an employer monitor an employee's

Customer Question

Labour Law Question:
Can an employer monitor an employee's cellphone without a warrant? If not, then is there any way of finding out if a warrant was taken out? What can i do if they have monitored my phone, what action can I take?

Is this your phone or theirs?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
This is my own personal cellphone. They have the number because it's my only phone, hence my emergency contact number that I provided to them.
Look forward to your response.

They could not get a warrant as they are not the police.

And they have no legal right to monitor your own personal cellphone.

That would be an offence in fact.

Does that answer your question?

What legal action should I take?
I would like my privacy back.

Call the police.

No one is allowed to monitor your cell phone.

I don't know how they are doing it it but it is an offence.
