I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.
Are you thinking the child would live with her most of the time?
Worst case scenario is that based on your income of $20,000 you would have to pay monthly support to her of $160 per month.
Then if she has to use day care and her income is $50,000 you would have to pay 20,000/70,000 or 29% of those costs.
Does that answer your question?
In terms of your responsibilities for the child, excluding financial responsibilities, it is up to you to decide how involved you want to be in your child's life. No one can force you to be involved in the child's life.
I don't know how much daycare will cost. You would have to call around to find out.
