Customer Question

My husband passed away 30 years ago. I raised his 2 children, and did not remarry. 5 years ago, his aunt left my husband 90,000$ His mom and dad gave the money to my 2 children, they did not share this money with their mom. Should it have been left to his widow? I would have split the money 3 ways. Thank You. Michele Carson

No. It does not go to the widow. If an inheritance goes to a parent and the parent had already died that money is shared equally amongst the parent's children. It does not go to the spouse. I'm sorry about that.
