Is the date of probate on a property listing an absolute?

Customer Question

Hi is the date of probate on a property listing an absolute? I just made an offer on a house possession June 1 and the listing says probate is May 22. I am feeling very nervous about this. I am new to BC ...so glad to have found you.

No it is not absolute. Presumably they gave a date that is well beyond when they think they will receive a response to the application for probate. You can certainly call the agent or if you have a real estate lawyer discuss this with the lawyer.
